Days of Kazakh Cinema is a cultural programme presenting the diversity of Kazakh cinema to international audiences and offering an opportunity to discover Kazakhstan’s history, culture and contemporary life through film.
As part of the programme in Hungary, three films will be presented — Amre, Qaitadan (Restart), and The Road to Mother, representing different genres, themes and stories.
The films explore important aspects of Kazakhstan’s history and culture, human relationships, family values and contemporary realities. Together, they offer audiences an opportunity to discover different facets of Kazakh society and culture through stories brought to life by Kazakh filmmakers and actors.
The Days of Kazakh Cinema in Hungary aim to foster cultural dialogue between Kazakhstan and Hungary, expand the international presence of Kazakh cinema, and introduce Hungarian audiences to Kazakh films.

Based on a true story, Amre follows the journey of Amre Kashaubayev, a talented Kazakh singer who travels from Kazakhstan to Paris to perform at the 1925 Paris Expo and compete in an international singing competition. There, his extraordinary talent brings him into contact with prominent artists and opens a new world beyond his homeland.
