Heysel 85 | Pre-premiere screening and discussion

9 october 2026 19:00 - 21:00

Location: Díszterem

A discussion with Iván Hegyi and Richard Faragó following the screening.

Set during the 1985 Heysel Stadium disaster in Brussels, this gripping drama follows Marie, the mayor’s daughter, and Italian journalist Luca Rossi as hooligan violence turns the European Cup Final between Juventus and Liverpool into a tragedy. While Luca desperately searches for his family, Marie is forced to take charge in the midst of chaos. Based on real events, the film examines leadership, responsibility, and the controversial decision to let the match continue despite the unfolding disaster.
